Scanned photos
- If scanning the photo yourself please ensure you scan it on the highest quality setting with a resolution of a minimum 300 dpi. If the photo is small and you want us to enlarge it then we would prefer that you scan it at 600 dpi. Scanning at higher dpi than this will only result in very large files, and is unlikely to improve the quality of the final image.
- Scan all images in colour, even black and white or sepia images.
- Save the image as a jpeg at the highest quality setting (with the least file compression).
- Upload the image to us using the form below (you need to be registered).
- Maximum size of image is 5MB, please contact us if your image is larger.
- If your image is large please allow time for it to be uploaded before leaving the page.
- If you have any problems with scanning your photos please contact us.

Posting your photos
Your photos are valuable so they need special care if you decide to post them.
- Please send the photos in a secure package, preferably in a board-backed envelope, or sandwiched between two pieces of stiff cardboard. Mark the envelope ‘DO NOT BEND’ before inserting the photos.
- If you are sending more than one photo, separate each one by placing a clean piece of paper between photos.
- If the photo is stuck to glass, please do not attempt to remove it as this will result in further damage to your photo.
- If the photo is in a frame and cannot be easily removed, please package it securely by wrapping in bubble wrap. Mark the package clearly ‘FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE’.
- We suggest that you send photos to us either by Recorded or Special Delivery. Although more expensive, these methods do provide more security and allow the Post Office to track packages.
- Include in your envelope a note outlining the work required, size of prints, etc.
- Please include a note with your address and a contact telephone number.
All originals will be carefully packaged before being returned to you by Recorded Delivery Send your pictures to:
